We went to Las Vegas for the first time since we've been back, drove down to the Bellagio, met our friends and visited the Chinese New Years floral display, then had lunch at Noodles. We got there early and beat the crowds. It is fabulous, so don't miss it. The floral display includes giant floral rat that is so pretty, even for a rat. Only in Vegas.

On the way home, we both remarked that Las Vegas is very cool and we need to get out more often. Two days earlier we had a great dinner at a local place --KJ's Kitchen--simply wonderful. Our "eating our way through New Years" will conclude on Sunday with another huge lunch with the local FCC group.

In other news, Gracie, I think, is officially in 12 month clothes! So now she can wear all the fabulous clothes from Aunt Liz ! She is talking, sometimes we can even understand her--some new words are "yes" "sunny" "cold" "poppa" "happy" "vaccum" "tiger" "fat cat" and "hop on pop" (for the book) and "bumblebee" (if you point one out in her in her book). She thinks the little Golden Book, "Baby Animals" is hilarious and laughs out loud when we look at the pictures. Her favorite words are still "up" "no" and "cracker" She still can do the hand motions to some of her favorite songs, but we haven't seen her cute little hand movements to "Itsy Bitsy Spider" for a few weeks now. She still, however, still can pound on her chest and yell like Tarzan. Thanks Dad.....
