October 2005. We are on vacation on the Oregon coast. Having fun, visiting light houses, picking out our retirement fishing shack on the Rogue River. We are on VACATION from paperwork, having sent off our final batch of paperwork to our adoption agency. Now all we do is wait. Right? Wrong! Little did we know -- two years will pass, during we will basically have to re-do all of our paperwork: fingerprints, background checks, homestudy and pestering our local USCIS office to return our 171-H during this century. But here we are, back in the day, all happy and thinking we'll have our little one by May 2006.
